Most of the city was issued a boil water advisory through Sept.17 at 7 a.m. This morning, the Cape Girardeau Water Plant experienced an electrical failure affecting one of the three main power feeds to the facility. Crews from Ameren UE and partner electrical companies are on-site and working diligently to complete repairs. Guidelines for Food Establishments
During a boil water order, water may serve as a source of contamination for food, food equipment, utensils and hands. Please use our Food Establishment Guidelines to ensure that food establishments know what to do when a boil water order is issued.
