The Cape Girardeau County Public Health Center is the Local Registrar for all births and deaths that occur in Cape Girardeau County and can issue certified copies of birth certificates for anyone born in the State of Missouri after 1920. We can issue certified copies of death certificates for anyone dying in the State of Missouri after 1980.

The Cape Girardeau County Public Health Center can provide birth or death certificates for the State of Missouri between 8:30 and 4:00 Monday thru Friday. No appointment is necessary.
The certificate will be printed during your visit. We accept cash, local check, and debit/credit (+$2.00 fee for card processing).
The application for records in the State of Missouri must be notarized by an acceptable notary public, and mailed with a money order and stamped self-addressed return envelope. Personal checks are not accepted.
