Brought to you in collaboration with community partners at People Organized to Revitalize Community Healing (PORCH), we're featuring all the best of what the Cape Girardeau County Public Health Center offers to protect public health including demonstrations covering Environmental Public Health, Communicable Disease Control, Chronic Disease Prevention, and Maternal, Child & Family Health.
Saint Francis Mobile Wellness will be onsite to provide mobile mammograms. Preventative screenings are covered by insurance, including Medicaid. Patients without insurance may qualify for a free screening through Dig for Life and the Saint Francis Foundation. Call 573-331-3875 to schedule your screening in advance.
MU Extension will be onsite to provide FREE mobile health screenings. To screen adults who may be at high-risk and direct them to proper care, free testing will be available for:
- HbA1c (Blood Sugar)
- Blood Pressure
- Lipid Profile (Cholesterol)
*For MU Extension screenings, it's recommended that you register here (not required as walk-ins are welcome).
Plus, FREE lead & hemoglobin testing for children ages 6 and under, adult vaccination education, assistance with enrollment in Medicaid under the expansion program, local health referrals, and much more—it's a one stop shop for the wide array of health services, programs, and education that we offer to you and your loved ones. *For lead or hemoglobin testing, results are available in 10-15 minutes and guidance will be provided if high lead levels are found. Please bring a Medicaid card if enrolled. There is also no out-of-pocket cost if you don't have Medicaid or have other insurance.
